Meet Michal - DevOps Engineer

As a bit of outdoorsman, you're likely to find Michal Ormoš in one of Sweden's many nature reserves, hiking, biking, running, or any other seasonal physical activity. When not spending his time in the great outdoors, you'll find Michal in the kitchen working on his cooking skills.

A natural problem-solver, Michal, a DevOps Engineer at Holm Security, ensures together with the rest of the DevOps team that tech operations run smoothly.

What do you do here at Holm Security?

As part of the Holm Security DevOps Team, I'm responsible for things running smoothly. Imagine Holm Security's software as a truck; then the DevOps team are the truck drivers. We ensure that our services run without problems; by proactively monitoring and taking action. We resolve any running issues and scale our services. We also deploy new releases and are the first to get a call if something breaks.

Internally, we support our developer's workflow, so that code can get quickly from the developer machine, via tests, to staging, and then to production as smoothly as possible in the shortest time. So it's crucial as a DevOps engineer to communicate and collaborate effectively with other teams.

What is your team like?

Even if it's a small one, our team has broad responsibilities. We're a handful of guys from different parts of the world sitting together in Stockholm, solving challenges daily. We're a well-rounded team that complements each other very well, where everyone is an expert in a different field.

What first got you interested in working at Holm Security?

I've always been curious about cyber security from my studies, and I found the same curiosity in Holm Security, where we make cyber security happen for many customers around the world, affordably.

What 3 words would you use to describe Holm Security?

Fast, growing, multicultural

What has been your favorite part about working at Holm Security so far?

No day is the same. There are new challenges to tackle every day. I also enjoy the work-life balance and culture at Holm, especially the "work hard, play hard" motto.
